PMDB Mentoring

The process of mentoring involves a relationship between a mentor and candidate that promotes the development of skills, knowledge, responsibility and ethical standards in the practice of biofeedback.  A mentor should be a BCIA certified professional who has been in active clinical practice for a minimum of two years.

The documents in this section are included to provide a framework for the mentoring process.  The Mentoring Guidelines detail the specific requirements and how they are to be fulfilled.  The Mentoring Application should be submitted prior to beginning the practical skills training.  A sample Agreement Letter is provided to help you structure your mentoring relationship.  In some special circumstances, you may wish to use a Non-Certified provider to assist in teaching the clinical skills.   Please contact BCIA for further information.
